  • scleral buckling components

Mira offers a wide range of scleral buckling implants fabricated from two different silicone materials, Silicone Sponge and Solid Silicone. The solid silicone is designed to provide the appropriate softness and tensile strength. and the silicone sponge implants are produced from a small-cell medical grade elastomer sponge. Another important consideration is the double sterile packaging that offers convenience to the user with its positive identification and maximum sterile integrity.

  • Ophthalmic cryo

Ophthalmic CryoMira’s exclusive design is based on the Joule-Thompson principle using either N2O or CO2. The CR4000 provides a rapid freeze and thaw tip-freeze-only that produces delicate intracellular crystal formations.

  • OPHTHALMIC diathermy

MIRA offers a diathermy system for
    chorioretinal adhesion, vitreous surgery
    and localized hemostasis with technology
    that ensures tissue trauma, charring,
    shrinkage and inflammation are drastically
    reduced.

    Using the MIRA Diathermy,
heat is created in target tissue
    by polarizing and oscillating
    molecules at 13.56 MHz. resulting
in a most discrete burn which
    traditional cautery cannot approximate.

  • OPHTHALMIC MICRO-DIATHERMY

Today, the burning issue of unwanted tissue necrosis can be answered using Micro-Diathermy.

  • Scleral transilluminatIOn

OS3000 Scleral Transilluminator with TR400 Diathermy

The OS3000 provides very bright tungsten light at the end of a 7-foot fiber optic bundle. It is excellently suited for a variety of applications such as general illumination, retinal detachment procedures, mono-chromatic ophthalmoscopy, localization of intraocular foreign bodies and uveal tumors, gonioscopy and goniotomy.

  • BINOCULAR-INDIRECT OPHTHALMOSCOPe

OS700 Binocular-Indirect OphthalmoscopeFor more than 35 years since its development by the Schepens-Pomerantzeff team, the MIRA Binocular-Indirect Ophthalmoscope continues to set the standard for optimized performance.
The indirect image, with less magnification, allows less distortion and much larger field of view than obtained with direct ophthalmoscopy.
